INSTRUCTIONS

In this demo, you will see how ASQ Better trains people to ask short, clear, spontaneous questions. Each practice round will include five questions about a single topic. Topics are headlines from recent news stories. The questions are timed--shorter is almost always better. The demo lets you try three practice rounds, each with a different topic.

When you are ready, press the ENTER key to generate the topic for your first set of five questions. You will have 10 seconds to review the topic before questioning begins.

Each question must begin with "who," "what, "when, "where, "why" or "how," and the program randomly selects which start word to use.

When prompted with that first word, ask your question out loud in a normal conversational voice and pace, as if speaking to a friend. Don't rush. Press ENTER when you finish a question and the program will generate a different start word for your next question.

After you have asked five questions, you will see the total time you took for all five questions on the topic and your score for that round. When you are ready for another set of questions on a new topic, press ENTER.

After three question rounds, you will see your time for each topic, the average time for all three topics, and your score for the session.

Click Start when you are ready to start the demo.
